Title: IT Technician
Pay Band: £15k to £20k depending upon experience

Role Description: Vacancy has arisen for an IT Technician working in the IT REPAIR CENTRE and providing hardware & software break-fix support for a range of home and business IT equipment. The range of equipment covers:

• Laptop repair, both hardware and software rebuilds
• PC repairs, both hardware and software rebuilds
• Monitor repairs, hardware repair of CRT and TFT screens
• Printer repair & servicing
• Projector repairs and servicing
• Hardware repair to component level where posible

In addition, depending upon experience candidates may be offered the opportunity to work with sister company Charlton Networks with the Helpdesk, providing 1st / 2nd line support for business network users on both contract & pay-as-you-go. Helpdesk work covers:

• Providing cover for our dedicated Helpdesk engineer
• Provide adhoc project support to our IT network consultants

This role is based at our main offices at Tewkesbury and further detailed include:

• Day-to-day network support
• Microsoft desktop support skills
• Operation of a Helpdesk system
• Microsoft server administration
• Understanding of firewalls, VPN and IP connectivity
• A good knowledge of PC and server hardware
• Electronics skills would be an advantage
